Singing for Santa at Trafford Town Hall

In Year 5 we have been learning all about Gamelan Music. Gamelan Music originates from Indonesia and is played on a traditional Gamelan Orchestra which consists of gongs, metallophones, drums, and other tuned percussion instruments. We created our own Gamelan Orchestra using the instruments we have in school and Miss Wycherley taught us typical gamelan melodies which are made using the pentatonic scale. We practised very hard and created our own Gamelan piece which we perform in several parts and recorded! We hope you enjoy our performance!
