KEY STAGE 1
At the end of Key Stage 1, Year 2 children are assessed in English and Mathematics. National Tests take place for Reading and Mathematics. Writing is assessed by the class teachers. Year 2 pupils should reach the expected standard or above in reading, writing and maths. This is the level against which attainment in all schools is measured.
