We will be having a grandparents' morning on Friday 18th October whereupon grandparents are welcome to join their grandchildren and have a look around school...Have a look at our #HelloYellow pictures on our notice board below.....We are looking to recruit Casual Midday's - if you would be interested in applying and for further information/application form please speak to Pauline Grady, School Business Manager, at the main office......There are spaces available in our full time nursery class both for families eligible for 30 funded hours and also those families wanting to pay to increase from the universal 15 hours up to 30 hours. Year 3

Welcome to Year 3. Our Year 3 teachers are Mr Roberts, Mrs Glasgow, Ms Melbourne and Mrs Howard. We are supported by a wonderful team of staff including Mr Bartram, Mrs Hisham, Mrs Nassier, Miss Johnston, Miss Mahmood, Mr Conley and Miss Lam.

 

We are so excited to be embarking on this Year 3 learning journey. Year 3 is the first year of Juniors and is a rewarding time where they will learn to become more independent learners.

 

 

3R

Spellings- take place on a Friday. New spellings are also given for the following week.

Homework- given out on a Friday. This needs to be handed in by the following Wednesday.

PE- Mondays and Fridays

Reading books- To be handed in on a Wednesday with signed record/ homework diary and will be changed.

Homework diaries- To be brought in every day so spellings and any other important information can be recorded.

Times tables - Children are tested 4 times a week. A note is made in the homework diary of the times tables the children need to learn for the following week.

 

 

3G

In Spring, we have been looking at our big question 'Why is Manchester Cool?. We explored a local landmark (Manchester United Football Club) and we also investigated our local area.

3HM had a great time in the February sunshine learning lacrosse this morning

Pre-Historic Britain

 

Our history topic this term is all about pre-historic history - Stone Age to Iron Age Britain.

 

We have learnt about the changes in peoples lives starting from the Stone Age through the Bronze Age and ending with life in the Iron Age.

 

We have also learnt about Stone Age art and had the opportunity to create our own cave paintings.
