English Classes for Parents
Adult English Classes at Kings Road!
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
Last year we began ESOL classes in ‘Community English’ for parents of Kings Road pupils. Following initial assessment, fourteen parents joined the course, studying for ‘Entry Level’ qualifications.
The weekly sessions are provided free of charge by Stockport Education and delivered by an experienced tutor.
We are so thrilled with the dedication of our ESOL students and tutors! We have had so much interest this year, that we've had to split the learners into 2 ability groups.
These enthusiastic parents will be so much better equipped to support their children with their learning. They are also growing in confidence when expressing themselves in English... whilst building new friendships.
Here is our enthusiastic group at work! With their tutor, they prepared created resources for their children to wear on ‘Number Day’. All the students have made fantastic progress!
