It is our school policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school. We provide a complete list of items needed for school uniform in our uniform list.
Our uniform policy reflects and reinforces our school values of Respect, Equality and Positive Attitude. Our school uniform is important to us and all pupils must dress according to the uniform policy. It is one way in which we identify ourselves as a school family and it promotes a strong, cohesive school identity, which supports high standards and expectations in all areas of school life – Excellence Without Compromise.
Smartness and high standards of appearance are expected at all times. If you require any second-hand uniform, which is available to all families, please contact the school office if you wish to enquire about current availability: admin@kingsroadschool.gov
At Kings Road, we have a required school uniform for several reasons:
We ask parents and carers to support all decisions by school staff regarding whether or not clothing is appropriate or inappropriate for school.
Where to buy our uniform
Our uniform has been kept simple to avoid unnecessary expense. All the items in our uniform list (except for our jumper/cardigan and tie) are readily available from the high street or supermarkets. If parents and carers find any item difficult to obtain, please contact the school office.
Jumpers and cardigans with the school logo and ties, can be purchased from the stockists below.
Please note, House Ties for KS2 only can be purchased from the school office.
Support with school uniform
When your child joins Kings Road and they are eligible for Free School Meals, school will purchase your child a badged jumper or cardigan when they join. If further items of uniform are required, this can be discussed during your child's induction.
